Article One
Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate, has joined the national battle over Arizona's controversial new immigration law. The new law mandates that immigrants in Arizona to carry their registration documents at all times. It also allows police to question individuals' immigration status in the process of enforcing a different law/ordinance. Sarah Palin appeared with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Saturday to speak about the new law.
Article Two
Congress is being asked by Obama administration to approve $205 million to help Israel build a new short-range rocket. This would be in addition to the $3 billion the United States spends every year to help promote Israel's defense. The Obama administration is trying to help Israel enhance its security systems. The president says we need to stay committed to helping out our ally, Isreal, protect their country.
Article Three
The issue has now come up questioning Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, about her sexuality. Some say that sexuality should be a nonissue in the work field, saying that her sexuality is not involved or a need of issue as a Supreme Court Justice. Others are concerned that her sexuality could sway her to vote a certain way on a specific issue. But a million other things could also sway her votes on issues.
